Clash of Clans by SUPERCELL is one of those games that brought us up in our childhood. This game has binded everyone together and has never made us feel isolated. If you also want to play Clash of Clans (C.O.C.) in 2020 or upcoming years, this detailed guide is all for you!
Introducing COC:
Clash Of Clans is developed by SUPERCELL in August 02, 2012. On the very first release of this game, it only had a destroyed village that you would have to re-build. You could attack other villages and grab money. That would be it. Slowly and steadily, the developers added new and new features to this game. I still remember seeing the advertisement of having a revenge option in the game.
Years after, new Town Halls started getting added, clan wars got advanced, builder base was introduced, clan games started and the traditional village of then, has evolved much more nowadays.
Basically, COC is a strategic and farming game. Everyone has the same village, same resources, same upgrade time and same assets. It depends on how a person perceives those assets.
This game somehow teaches you about development. We know, we require natural, physical, economical and human resources to carry out any developmental works.
Similarly, COC has golds, builder gold, elixirs, builder elixir, dark elixirs and gems as its primary economic resources.
It provides workers (or villagers), builder, master builder, O.T.T.O. builder and YOU as the human resource.

Additionally, there are lots of physical and natural resources that grow around your village. Bushes, trees, stones, wood planks, and other assets like gems boxes randomly grow in your village that rewards you with gems and experience.
Unlike other games, you don't need to collect wood for any construction. You can order the works to your builder and the builder will manage everything for you. But, have patience. This will take time. For any construction or developmental works you would want to do, you will have to collect required financial resources and meet the minimum town hall requirements. We will study these further in this blog post.
You don't have a fixed objective in this game. As I said, it's strategical as well as farming game. If you want to become richer, you would want to attack enemies just for resources. But, if you want to become mightier, you would want to quick max out everything in your village and attack enemy villages for trophies.

Hooray, you've decided to learn about a very good game. Speaking in my experience, learning COC is very very easy. We will let you learn from the basics to the intermediate to the competitive games. So, let's begin with the first topic:
Introducing The Main Village in Clash of Clans:
If you've used a computer or coded in a high level programming language, you would always notice that the users will be taken to a landing page before they can navigate anywhere else. In computer, it's desktop while in COC, it's the main village.
This main village was added into the game since its global release and has been seeing continuous development in every other versions of the game. This village is also termed as the Day Mode in COC.
This main village is the base to build all your assets.

As you open the game for the first time, you will find that this main village is destroyed. One of the villager girl pops up and asks you to re-build and strengthen this village to protect it from passers-by.
At this time, you will only have your Town Hall, resources collectors, barrack and an army camp with five pre-trained wizards.
You will be called as the 'Chief' and the villager wants you to build a cannon to protect your village from the Goblins.
Follow her instructions until you are done. But, do not use the Gems. Click here to learn why not to use gems?
Alright, you must be done. Now, it's the time to name yourself. This name will be shown to everyone and you can take it as In Game Name. This won't affect your privacy by any means.
Here are some things to remember while naming yourself:
- Do not use abusive or vulgar words while naming yourself. This rule is not written anywhere. But, we must not adversely affect the environment of any digital platform by our careless activities.
- You can only name yourself twice. Be aware about how you name yourself. Your name will represent you throughout the game span. So, name yourself carefully.
- Do not use a love symbol in between of your name. It was few months back in around February-March that a player named Dr.M who had created many accounts with the Name Stephanie❤️DrM. Few months later, all accounts with the heart symbol were deleted because of this activity by SuPerCell.
Once, you've done adding your name. It's time now to protect your progress. After all, you will be spending few minutes to few hours daily into this game. So, you surely want to preserve all your efforts and sweats that you put into this game.
There are few ways you can secure your account. One of them is connecting your account with an Email I'd while the other is connecting your account with a SUPERCELL I'd.
Email I'd can be created using free and paid services online. Some of the popular email services are provided by Google and Yahoo.
Supercell I'd can be created by logging into the SuperCell's official website or follow the in-game methods.
Before learning about how to create an email or supercell I'd, let's learn which one to go with?
In order to create a supercell I'd, you will need an email I'd. So, it's pretty clear that you would want to have an email I'd first.
But, supercell I'd is safer and better as this links all your SUPERCELL games only.
Let's learn how to create your email account using Google Mail. Assuming that you have no Gmail accounts in the device.
- Open your preferred browser in your device. We prefer using Google Chrome since everything here has to deal with Google's service.
- Type 'gmail.com' in the search bar and then click Enter (smartphone) or press Enter (Personal Computer).
- Click 'Create a New Account'.
- On the type of Gmail account, select 'For Myself' because you are about to create it only for your personal use.
- Fill in all the asked information (Phone Number and Email are optional) and then click 'Next'.
- Type in other required information asked. Then click 'Next'.
- You're done creating your Gmail account.

Introducing The Builder Village in Clash of Clans:
The Builder Village is often spoken as dark mode or the builder base. This village was introduced to COC lately.
There is a short story behind this village. Once a sailor went out to sail through the sea across the village. She sailed on the boat for few days until she saw a small, dark and ruined village. She visited the village.
After observing everything, she met the Master Builder who told her the story. He also said that the village could only be repaired if a chief could handle it.
So, the villager gets back to the village. She alerts everyone about that village. Finally, we also sail to the village, visit it and own it.
Everyone cooperates with us and it's our duty to develop this village.
The main attraction of the builder village is the Master Builder who has mastered building skills.

Introducing The Town Hall in Clash of Clans:
Town Hall(s) (TH) are the main building in the builder village. These provide the home for the builders and the workers.
TH allows you to store some golds, elixirs, and dark elixirs (after reaching TH 7). TH also has higher hit points.
TH decide the number of buildings in your village. As you level up your TH, you unlock more buildings, resource collectors, heroes, and more.
As you level up your Town Hall to 12, your TH starts defending itself. We will discuss this below.
These have the highest importance during multiplayer or war attacks. On destroying each Town Halls on one attack, the attacker gets one star out of three. There have been several attacks when the attacker has ended the attack with a 99% 1 star because he/she couldn't destroy the Town Hall.
Introducing The Builder Halls in Clash of Clans:
Builder Halls (BH) are the clone of Town Hall for the builder village. These provide the home for the master builder and the workers of the builder village.
BH allows you to store some golds and elixirs. BH also has higher hit points.
BH decides the number of buildings in your village. As you level up your TH, you unlock more buildings, resource collectors, and more.
These have the highest importance during versus battles. On destroying each Builder Hall in one attack, the attacker gets one star out of three. It becomes really crucial during these battles. If an opponent attacker scores 99% 1 star but you score just 50% 2 stars, you win and the opponent loses. This is how important a builder hall tends to be during versus battles.
Introducing The Clan Castle in Clash of Clans:
Clan Castle often pronounced as 'CC' is the building in COC that lets you join, create or leave a clan. This building is destroyed as you log in to the game for the first time. You can only re-build CC after you've upgraded your TownHall to level 3.
Introducing The Resources in Clash of Clans:
Resources are the valuable assets of this game. These help you to level up quicker. The more resources you can grab, the higher your chances would be to prosperous.
As in real life, the country with higher per capita income and higher economic strength seems to be highly developed than those countries having low per capita income.
Similarly, if you can gather more resources in less time, your efficiency with the construction works could be greater, if used strategically.
Here is a list of the 7 important resources in COC, both in the main village and in the builder village:
Gold:
Gold is the yellowish coins in COC that every goblin runs behind. This resource is available in the main village only.
Gold is the base for upgrading defenses, clan castle, and the walls. Almost all defenses from Town Hall 1 to 13 can only be upgraded using Gold.
You can get golds either by farming them in your own village or by stealing them from multiplayer battles or by attacking the goblins in the Goblin Map or by completing attack training (once) for every town hall level.
Gems:
Gems are the green rare diamonds in COC and often can be considered as its own currency.
You can imagine these as Dollars (if you live in Australia or America), Rupees (if you live in Nepal or India), Yen (if you live in Japan), and similarly others. These gems help you to make trades in the game.
Gems are mostly used to buy other resources such as Gold, Elixir, Builder Elixir and more. These rare resources can also be used to do the works instantly.
Using the gems (directly):
- One can instantly finish a building construction.
- One can donate troops without training them.
- One can finish the troops training or brewing spells instantly.
- One can boost the resource collectors, barracks, heroes and spell factories.
Should You Use Gems?
Resources are meant to be spent. But, that's not always the case. Imagine you have few diamonds in your house, will you sell them? Or will you preserve them?
That's totally your thoughts. You could either say, "I will sell these right now and become richer by investing what I get from the trade."
You could also say, "I want to preserve this right now so that I can use them later on for a bigger purpose. Maybe I can buy a mansion, or what if a private jet?"
Chief, if you've just begun playing this game, I suggest that you do not spend gems. Gems are the rarest resources in the game. Additionally, they are used to buy builders that cost 500 gems, 1000 gems and 2000 gems respectively.
There are only few sources to earn gems. In the very beginning, you won't have any reliable source for greater production of gems in your village. Whilst you might want more builders to foster the development works.
So, I suggest you to spend gems randomly only after you've successfully unlocked all five builders in the main village.
How can gems be obtained?
As we already said, Gems are rare resources and are really hard to get. There are limited ways you can obtain gems in Clash of Clans.
Let's start with the simplest.
1. Achievements:
Every games has some missions set for the players so that they can grind on them to become better. However, not all games reward you with rare items every time you complete a mission. But, COC is different in a lot of factors. This is one of them.
This game rewards you with experience and gems on completing each achievements. Amount of gems that you receive depends on what level of achievement you have just achieved and what was its rarity!
Here is the list of achievements that you can achieve in the game and respective rewards for each one of them.
2. Gem Mine:
Gem Mine let's you mine deep into the ground and dig the gems. And, don't worry, you don't have to stay awake everytime to guard the mine. Sure, your heart would be pumping everytime because it's too rare, right? But, the master builder will guard over the workers.
The only gem mine is only available in the Builder Village. Till now, only one gem mine is available in the game.

3. Gem Box:
Gem Box is an obstacle that automatically grows in your main village. You can have only one gem box at one time.
This is a wooden box which has green gems inside it. Every gem boxes have only 25 gems in them.
Gem boxes grow on your village depending on how much you spend your gems. If you spend gems rarely, these boxes grow very slow. If you spend gems regularly, these boxes grow quicker.
3. Challenges:
COC constantly brings new challenges that would reward gems on completing them. Some popular challenges include Clan Games.
Can you get gems for free?
Yes, you can get gems for free by grinding inside the game. But, you can not get the gems for free from various illegal websites on the Internet. If you could get the gems for free, why would COC have payment methods in the game. Plus, how could COC earn money?
As a beginner, you might get frustrated as the construction works take several hours. You will also have less builders. But, you want to reach higher in shorter time. So, you might want to get more gems to complete the works faster and level up quicker.
However, you do not have a single penny to spend on the game. You will start to surf the internet and browse for the easiest ways to earn free gems. Never do this!
You get nothing good for free. So, take your time. Be patient and paves your path towards achievement, yourself. Then, proudly brag your success in front of others.

No wars can be won without a chief, leader, soldiers, technologies and techniques. Troops are the soldiers. Barracks is the place where your troops get trained. Army place is the residential area of your Trained Troops.

- Barbarian King:
The king is the first hero you can unlock in this game. The Barbarian King can be unlocked at town Hall Level. He is a male character. His main ability is rage.

Friendly war is the team battle between two clans. This kind of war can be played with anyone if both clans agree to do so.

Clan Games is not a very old feature of this game. This has been recently added into the game. It allows the members of a clan to jointly complete missions and get clan points.
Milestones have been set for clan points. The greater clan points your clan can achieve, the higher rewards you can receive.

Gem Mine is a resource mining building that is provided in the Builder Base of Clash Of Clans.
