M416 or AKM? Which gun to Use? #AssaultRifle

Two of the deadliest guns in PUBG Mobile are M416 and AKM. M416 is known for its stable fire rate and less recoil while AKM is preferred for its damage. However, it is always a question to the new comers into this game to select a preferable weapon according to the situation.

AKM - 7.62mm

The major difference that keeps these two guns apart from comparison is the ammunition they use. M416 uses 5.56 mm and AKM uses 7.62 mm ammunition. This is not the only thing that keeps these two guns apart.

Also, the bullets of M416 give less damage to the opponents if they are too far but the damage of AKM remains normal.

Following this is the recoil and stability rate that creates a huge difference in players mindset while using this gun. M416 is the easiest gun to control recoil in PUBG Mobile while AKM is one of the toughest one to do so. 

This is our recommendation to use these guns in the following range:

<10m : AKM

Undoubtedly, 7.62 mm will have higher damage than 5.56 mm. It is also well known that if the enemy has no helmet then, one bullet of your AKM in his head will bring his death. Keeping this in mind, using AKM in extremely close combat is always suggested. M416 won't give much productivity as compared to AKM in this range. With just 40 bullets of your AKM, you can finish 4 enemies in this range if your accuracy is high.

10m -50m: AKM

Still, we would suggest you to go with AKM in 10-50m distance also. Yes, M416 also gives you the almost same productivity in this range. However, you can't resist the damage of AKM. The reason for players to not use this gun is its high recoil which you need to practice in the training ground to achieve mastery in! 

50m -300m: M416

Now, this is the combat range where almost every players feel difficult using the spray of AKM. Therefore, M416 is a viable weapon in this combat range. The only thing that sucks at this point is the firing rate of M416. If you have less ammunition and continuously give spray that doesn't connect to the enemies, you will feel short of ammo and might loose the fight. In this situation, AKM on single tap mode is a healthy gun you can use to save your ammunition.

Hence, both the gun's are productive. M416 is preferred just because of its rate of fire and proportional damage. Whereas, AKM is the gun you have to gain the mastery on. Once you do it, you can use AKM for any range. However, if you are a newcomer, we would suggest you to choose M416.

Normally, if you use M416 and AKM both guns throughout the match. Then, you might have understood their uses. 

In competitive matches too, players carry just 100 bullets of AKM and 40 bullets loaded on to the gun. While they carry, more than 250 ammunition of 5.56. 

This is because M416 fires the bullets so fast. You need to carry many bullets if you want to win the fight.

If you see a vehicle around you. You would crouch or prone down and fire at them using your M416. Now, you will notice within 5-6 seconds, your magazine gets empty. You pull out another one. And another one. 

So, with the above example, I wanted to clarify that M416 is used for spray and AKM is used for close combat range.
